2nd pick: #2 (Man Camp) (8-5) - The morning line and probable favorite, he finished 2nd in his first pair at Evangeline Downs, then tired badly there when over-matched in a $75,000 stakes for fellow Louisiana breds July 14. On the sidelines since, speedy colt breaks just off the rail and is very strong win candidate. I could have easily made him the top selection.
3rd pick: #3 (My Rainey Day) (8-1) - Debuting gelding is owned/and trained by Joe Foster (15% first out). Originally prepped at Louisiana Downs, he's been in steady training here since early October. Several of his a.m. drills indicate speed is present and he can factor if ready.
