In a good barn (Shane Wilson), she finished third here for a $10K price tag Dec. 7 in her first start in five months. She gets a slim edge.
2nd pick: #1 (Becky's Dude) (5-2) - Very much improved of late, she's facing winners for the first time. This speed/stalker was an easy 5 length maiden winner here at this distance Dec. 28. The 4yo is nicely spotted, has the rail, and is a serious threat to make it two in a row.
3rd pick: #4 (Sarah's Prayer) (8-1) - She missed by a length here at this level and distance Dec. 28 in her best start since coming off a 4.5-month layoff Nov. 16. The 4yo was in very good form here at this time last year and think she can factor at a square price.
4th pick: #8 (Drama Specialist) (6-1) - Away since June 30, her form had gone bad at Prairie Meadows at that time leading to the long layoff. Sharp here last winter, filly has a pair of fast local works heading into this attempt.
