Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #5 (PICTURE TUBE) (5-1) - He's one of three entered by trainer Bob Baffert and none will be favored. This gelding by 'Malibu Moon' took some time to get in stride when debuting going six furlongs June 26 at Santa Anita. He's worked fast since and Baffert (22% second-time out) also stretches him out in distance (23%).
2nd pick: #3 (Accelerate) (5-2) - The probable favorite, speed/stalker has been competitive in all three sprint attempts. Trainer John Sadler is stretching him out for the first time and $380K purchase is an obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #7 (Magical Mystery) (3-1) - Another of the Baffert trio, he's a NEW gelding and speed/stalker has been freshened up since April 22. He's finished second in both stars at this level and has some quick works showing. Bejarano's presence is noted.
4th pick: #2 (Bollywood) (6-1) - Very lightly-raced, he's the third member of the Baffert threesome. He cost $700,000 and was only two lengths behind 'Accelerate' last out.
