He had gone 3-1-1-1 in dirt sprints prior to that and finished a close-up third in Saratoga's G1 Hopeful Sept. 3. Working steadily here, he draws a good outside post and gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #2 (Classy John ) (2-1) - He was a very sharp maiden winner when making his debut going 6 furlongs Aug. 25 at Saratoga. Colt had sharp speed and scored by 6 lengths in fast time (1:10 flat). In training here since mid-September, he's a major threat with anything near a repeat of his first start.
3rd pick: #4 (P H Factor) (8-1) - NEW gelding broke his maiden in a 5-furlong sprint on the Tapeta surface at Arlington Park Aug. 25. Heavily bet, he ran a half mile in :45.60 and must be left in the mix.
