It was her second back from almost 5.5 months on the sidelines, and she'll be tough in this spot.
2nd pick: #8 (Kathy's Cause) (12-1) - This longshot just missed at this level and distance April 11 at Aqueduct. However, in her follow up here under similar conditions May 10, she tired as the 7-2 favorite after having a nice spot turning for home. A repeat of her previous effort makes her a player here at a big price.
3rd pick: #12 (Tarallucci) (4-1) - A lightly raced home-bred by 'Lemon Drop Kid,' she rallied while wide to finish 4th, but was only a 1/2-length behind 'Mike's Girl.' It was a solid effort in only her second attempt, and she's a threat if able to avoid a wide trip.
4th pick: #6 (Abby Normal) (8-1) - Her lack of speed is a big negative here, but she she missed by only a 1/2-length at this tag and trip April 11 at Aqueduct. Away poorly here in her follow up May 3, she's been freshened up since, and trainer Dave Donk has John Velazquez aboard for the first time.
5th pick: #5 (Smart Throb) (10-1) - This mare is racing third back after spending six months on the sidelines. Even paced 5yo has nibbled several times at this level and distance and is capable of getting a share of this at a big price.
