2nd pick: #5 (Really Proud) (5-2) - One of two 3-year-olds taking on older foes, she ships from Gulfstream Park where she finished a close up rd in a $75K stakes going 5 furlongs on the grass April 27. Another that's lightly-raced, stalker fits and is dangerous.
3rd pick: #4 (First Appeal) (3-1) - Turf specialist is 5-for-9 on the grass and is 3-for-5 locally. Strong finisher moves up in class and New York bred should receive a fast and/or contested pace to close into.
4th pick: #1 (Shimmering Moon) (15-1) - Long shot has good early speed and has been working steadily at Saratoga for her first since Feb. 18. All of her success has come on the dirt but her speed and inside post must be respected. It's noted that John Velazquez is aboard for the first time.
