It earned her a career-best figure and she draws a nice outside post at this trip as she moves up in class.
2nd pick: #3 (Ascot Walk) (9-5) - The morning line favorite, she broke her maiden at this distance July 22 at Saratoga, then finished a wide and even 3rd at this level and trip Aug. 17. She's worked fast twice since and is a strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #2 (Palladian Bridge) (5-1) - Veteran tired badly after 'acting up' before the start of her latest (Aug. 25). Much sharper in her previous start there at this level, mare loves it at Belmont 9-3-3-0 and should factor if on her best behavior.
4th pick: #1 (Pink Sands) (9-2) - Expensive ($625,000) daughter of 'Tapit' rallied to break her maiden going 6.5 furlongs at Saratoga Aug. 16. It was her first race since late Nov and stretch runner would love a fast and/or contested pace to close into.
