Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #5 (FINANCIALSTABILITY) (6-5) - This $290,000 gelding by 'Midnight Lute' did not race as a 2 or 3yo and made his debut July 24 at Saratoga. He finished third going 7-furlongs that afternoon, then broke his maiden at the same distance Aug. 30. Stretch runner from the barn of Chad Brown faces a much tougher group, but he still has room for upside.
2nd pick: #4 (Bronx Bomber) (12-1) - Longshot finished second here in back-to-back starts at this level sprinting here during the spring. He was competitive in a grass sprint July 11 at Saratoga, then tired in the slop there Aug. 21. Stalker has a fine series of works showing and think he's a threat at a big price.
3rd pick: #2 (Foolish Ghost) (12-1) - A 4yo gelding by 'Mineshaft', he's been tiring in his last five starts, but is racing second back off a two month break and was in with a pretty tough group in his return. He enters off a bullet half-mile breeze Oct. 1, breaks just off the rail, and think he'll be competitive double digit odds.
4th pick: #6 (Red Zinger) (8-1) - He cutting back in distance and is back sprinting for the first time since July 13 when he checked in a close third at this level and distance at Saratoga. Stalker has all the speed to his left in the gate and should receive a good pace picture to close into.
