She finished second in both starts last summer and most likely needed her latest following the long layoff. She worked fast on both June 8 and 15 and think this 3yo has a good shot at a square price.
2nd pick: #7 (Ratajkowski) (7-5) - The morning line and probable heavy favorite, she was away slowly before rushing up to press the pace, eventually checking in third in her belated debut May 25. Mare made her first start at age 5, has worked very fast since, and runs today with Lasix administered. An obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #4 (Blame It On Mom) (7-2) - A 4yo by 'Freud', she missed by a 'neck' when debuting here at this level and distance Oct. 19. Unraced since, she's training steadily for veteran Bruce Levine and is a factor if ready.
4th pick: #3 (Summer Fantasy) (20-1) - Longshot has early speed, is switching from grass to dirt, and enters off a bullet half-mile here June 13. Front runners generally do well on sloppy tracks and this filly may be competitive at a big price.
