Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #1 (WILD WILLIAM) (3-1) - Speedy sort has been freshened up since Aug. 24 when he finished a pace-chasing second going 5.5 furlongs at this level at Saratoga. Working steadily for his return, the colt has the rail and gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #5 (Causeforcelebration) (2-1) - The gelding has been sharp in all five starts at this level sprinting on the grass since returning from a 4.5-month layoff May 5. He was just under a length behind 'Wild William' last out and is an obvious threat.
3rd pick: #7 (The Mason Factor) (4-1) - He missed by just under a length going 7 furlongs here at this level June 21. In his follow up two months later at Saratoga, he tired while wide after breaking from a tough outside post in the same last race as both 'Wild William' and 'Causeforcelebration'. Gelding has a better post and is in the mix.
4th pick: #6 (Sir Frost) (12-1) - No-speed type shortens up in distance following three straight at this level going a mile or longer. The 3yo had ta ough post in that trio, draws better, and a fast/and or contested pace would help his late-running tactics out.
