She was just a bit 'short' that day in a contest won by an uncoupled barn-mate and should break her maiden in this spot.
2nd pick: #6 (Anne Dupree) (8-1) - Speedy sort set the pace before tiring to finish a distant second here at this level Sept. 7. It was her first following a John Toscano Jr. claim and this filly by 'Curlin' is dangerous.
3rd pick: #2 (Asticou) (4-1) - Nicely bred 4yo showed nothing here when finishing 6 lengths behind 'Anne Dupree' here Sept. 7. However, daughter of 'Hard Spun' was much sharper in her previous three starts this year and enters off a quick local half-mile breeze Sept. 21. Stretch threat with her 'A' game.
