Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #8 (LEGION STORM) (5-2) - He's finished in three of his last four and did so at the level and distance Aug. 7 at Saratoga. Strong finisher has been competitive here in the past and gets top billing.
2nd pick: #1 (Champagne Chills) (9-5) - The morning line and probable favorite, this lightly raced colt 'won' at this distance in an 'off the turf' contest at Saratoga July 26, but was disqualified and placed second after causing some traffic issues inthe final stages. Speedy home bred has the rail and is an obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #9 (Lorcan) (8-1) - A grey gelding by 'Mineshaft'. he rallied to miss by a 'head' here at this level going 6.5 furlongs June 16. In his follow up July 18 at Saratoga, he raced both wide and evenly in a 5.5 furlong 'off the turf' sprint. His latest three works are well above average and his outside post at this trip is a plus.
4th pick: #5 (Awesome Adversary) (5-1) - Even-paced gelding drops down following six straight facing tougher. He picked minor awards in five of those and the last time he raced at this evel he finished second going a mile at Aqueduct March 8.
