2nd pick: #9 (Banana Thief) (3-1) - Very consistent turf sprinter has finished 2nd in two straight, the latest at this level July 26 at Saratoga. In shape veteran, draws outside of the speed and that's a plus for his stalking style. A strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #8 (New York's Finest) (7-2) - This 5yo has has won six of 12 starts on the grass all at the distance of 5.5 furlongs. He had a rough trip last out when he finished a length behind 'Banana Thief' and is dangerous with a better journey.
4th pick: #12 (Colt and Mississippi) (4-1) - He's dropping in class while shortening up in distance in his 2nd off a Jay Servis claim and a subsequent two month break. Trainer is already 5 for 10 at this meet and this well bred 4yo must be left in the mix.
