He won six times at Finger Lakes during 2018, then closed out the year with a gate-to-wire score here Dec. 22. I think this speed/stalker has a good shot at a square price.
2nd pick: #3 (Speightful Kitten) (3-1) - One of two entered by trainer Linda Rice, and the pair race uncoupled. He finished 2nd here at this level going seven furlongs Jan. 9 and is brought back quickly while shortening up a bit.
3rd pick: #1 (Analyze the Odds) (7-2) - He was away slowly from a wide post before making up ground going a mile Dec. 29 at Philly Park facing 'open' allowance foes. He's shortening up in distance, has the rail, and is down in class while back in against fellow state breds. A win candidate.
4th pick: #6 (Wrong Ben) (6-1) - This speedy gelding has won two in a row and scored here Dec. 1 facing first-level state bred allowance foes. Capable, but there is other speed signed on, so he needs a careful ride.
