2nd pick: #1 (Princess Pinky) (3-1) - Daughter of 'Ghostzapper' was scratched out of yesterday's fourth race to await this spot. $275,000 purchase has finished second in two of three with her lone poor effort coming in a stakes on a sloppy track July 15 at Belmont Park. Working steadily for her first race since Sept. 14, she has the rail and I almost made her the top selection.
3rd pick: #3 (Fight On Lucy) (6-1) - Blinkers go on home bred who rallied to finish second here at this level and distance Nov 8 in a contest that was taken 'off the turf'. The filly that beat her that afternoon returned to win yesterday's 5th race and this daughter of 'Musket Man' is a stretch threat.
4th pick: #5 (Shelley Ann) (8-1) - Both blinkers and Lasix are added by trainer Jimmy Jerkens as she makes her 2nd start. She tired badly when debuting at a mile Oct. 20 at Belmont, but that was in a $250K stakes. She breezed a bullet 3 furlongs Dec. 5 and is dangerous at a big price.
