LOSS

TCU came within an eyelash of playing for a National Title. Will they lose their edge? Hardly. A Rose Bowl invite is enough to motivate any team, and especially an unbeaten one that wants to show the world they belonged in the Championship game. A loss validates their snubbing while a win completes a great season. The Badgers offense is running on all cylinders, having scored 201 points in their last three games. They will face their stiffest challenge of the year vs. TCU - a team that allowed just 215 yards per game. This is a team that prides itself on defense and this may be their best ever, holding seven teams to 7 points or less. The Horned Frogs went on the road to Utah and held a powerful Utes defense to under 200 yards in their own building. In their last two Bowl games, they held #8 and #13 ranked Boise State offense to a total of 33 points. There is one big difference with this Horned Frogs edition - they can score with anyone. The Frogs have averaged 50.3 ppg in their last four, so they can get it done on both ends. The difference here is that the Badgers have allowed 20+ in six of their last eight games, and TCU is simply going to generate more stops. The Horned Frogs are 7-1 ATS as a 3 point or less favorite in their last eight, while the Badgers are just 1-4 ATS in their last five vs. the MWC. My computer matchup predicts a TCU win. I am on the Frogs to win and cover.
