UC San Diego stunned California with a 64-62 win on Tuesday as Bryce Pope scored 19 points and hit a key 3-pointer with 12 seconds left and the Tritons went 9-for-22 from 3-point range while holding the Golden Bears to just one made 3-pointer in eight tries. The Tritons return three starters from its 13-16 squad last season and actually beat California last year too. Navy has two returning starters, but lost its top two guards and the Midshipmen lost 75-68 to Coppin State on Monday for their first defeat of the season. Navy is 3-7 ATS its past 10 home games and 1-4 ATS its past five following a loss. The Tritons obviously are not easily intimidated as they finished last season 3-0-1 ATS against teams with .600 or higher winning percentages. Take UC San Diego.
