Sam Houston at Texas Tech

Texas Tech has started the season at 9-2 and will take on the 6-7 Sam Houston St. Bearkats at home tonight. These can sometimes be tricky games after the Christmas holiday and into semester break. That tends to take the focus off of the defensive end. Sam Houston has faced three power-5 conference teams allowing 78 PPG in the three games. Texas Tech has shifted gears as the Red Raiders averaged just 54 shots a game in their first four contests, but have since turned up the tempo, averaging 62.5 shots per game, or an average of 8.5 more attempts per game. I don't feel that the uptick is being reflected in the total here. Play this one to go OVER.
