Top pick: #1 (EDDIE SET GO) - Four-year-old won here facing tougher at this distance in late June in his first start for a trainer change to Mark Casse. Heavily favorite last out, he was bumped at the start and did well to finish fourth, beaten only 3 lengths. Freshened up for the past seven weeks, 4-year-old had a sharp 5-furlong drill Aug. 22 and draws the rail for this attempt. Has back class and can take this with a "clean" start.

2nd pick: #5 (Consolidator Joe) - Lightly raced home-bred is (4-2-1-1) in his brief career and last out finished second at this distance facing a bit tougher. Three-year-old has a stalking style, should get a nice pace set-up, and his barn brings him back quickly for this attempt. Win candidate.

3rd pick: #6 (Milwaukee Mixer) - Very speedy gelding moves back to the main track after a good effort at this price going 6 furlongs on the grass course Aug. 19. Three-year-old has come back with a fast work Sept. 3 and he must be left in the final mix.
