Winnipeg finished last season losing six of nine with a mediocre defense that finished #15 in goals allowed. They opened this season with a 6-4 loss at the Rangers last night, so this is the second of a back-to-back road spot. The Jets are without defensemen Dustin Byfuglien (team suspension) and Nathan Beaulieu (upper body) along with center Bryan Little (concussion). They did not sign forwards Patrik Laine and Kyle Connor until the end of the preseason and lost their best defenseman, Jacob Trouba, to the Rangers. Winnipeg is 4-10 when playing on no days of rest.
