This game will be played on grass from Paul Brown stadium, FieldTurf actually, but it feels and plays like natural grass. That's a key as both of these teams play at home on artificial carpet which helps their offenses. While the flashy offenses get all the attention (especially from oddsmakers), West Virginia was actually great defensively in 2010, giving up 13.5 points per game while running a speedy 3-3-5 defense led by DE Bruce Irvin, whose 14 sacks were tops in the Big East. They are not as dominant but still very good. Cincinnati (7-1) has an up-tempo attack for Coach Butch Jones, but the defense has been outstanding, allowing 19.5 ppg – No. 18 in the nation. Co-coordinators Tim Banks and John Jancek have senior DT Derek Wolfe up front on a D-line that has been solid and can rush the passer. One of head coach Butch Jones' top priorities when he arrived at Cincinnati last year was to make the Bearcats a more physical team. The Bearcats have allowed 86 rushing yards per game – No. 5 in the nation. Cincinnati has gone 31-16 UNDER in their last 47 home games. The UNDER is 5-2 in the Bearcats’ last seven against a team with a winning record. Head-to-head, the UNDER is 5-2 in the last seven meetings and this total is far too high. Play the UNDER.
