Things are so bad for New York that Phil Jackson fired coach Derek Fisher and replaced him with interim coach Kurt Rambis. The Knicks have lost five in a row and nine of their last 10 games with the only win coming against the hapless Phoenix Suns. The Knicks lost at home to Denver 101-96 on Sunday as Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis scored 21 points apiece, but they still came up short even though the Nuggets made just 5 of 21 three-point attempts. Washington beat Philadelphia on Friday, but then lost the following night 108-104 at Charlotte after blowing a 19-point lead. John Wall and Bradley Beal had 23 and 22 points, respectively, for the Wizards. New York is 0-4 its last four home games and Washington has covered the spread its last four meetings in New York.
