Top pick: #6 (LINEMAN) - No-speed types takes a big drop, goes turf to dirt, and shortens up in distance. Gelding meets a weak field and can win this with a stretch rally at a nice price.
2nd pick: #11 (Tribal Mobile) - He has good early speed and a nice outside post to "gun" from. He'd been competitive on most of his eight starts and I almost made him the top choice.
3rd pick: #10 (Jims Midnight Slew) - Idaho-bred has finished second and third in both local appearances since shipping here from Boise and coming back off a 2 1/2 month layoff. Fits, and must be left in the win mix.
4th pick: #7 (Buzz Me in) - Colt ships in from Hastings Park where he ran a career best when finishing second on a sloppy surface Oct. 13. Think he needs to improve for anything more than a small slice.
