Top pick: #7 (DREWSBORO ROAD) - Improving mare has run well in all three starts since coming back here from California. Latest saw her stalk and make a strong late bid that fell a head short. Effort was one of her best ever and a repeat makes her the top pick.
2nd pick: #8 (Simply Dazzling) - Speed/stalker has run well in her last pair here, both at this level and distance. Much improved since last winter, she draws outside of the other speed and should get a nice trip from just off the pace.
3rd pick: #5 (Jay's Island) - Longshot had no chance last out when she was bumped hard early in the race. Previous effort saw her tire on the turf, a surface that I don't think she cared for. Prior dirt races are good and could land her a share of this at a big price.
4th pick: #4 (Ovid Fasti) - Speedy tyhree-year-old tired last out and finished behind the top two picks. Canadian filly ran well this past summer at Asiniboia Downs and that form puts her in this if she can repeat it.
