Top pick: #3 (CUVEE'S CHOICE) (5-2) - He's been a real terror since dropping down in price several years ago, and is 10-4-3-0 in abbreviated sprints. 6yo was an easy winner at Fairplex on Sept. 19th in his second back from a 6 1/2 month layoff, and has done well (12-4-4-0) on this surface in the past.
2nd pick: #5 (First Time John) (9-2) - Stalker enters in top form off a sharp win here over a mixed field of thoroughbreds & quarter-horses going 870yds on Oct. 7th. He's five for 15 at this trip, and was a winner in New Mexico at it on Sept. 13th.
3rd pick: #2 (Sorullo) (4-1) - Very fast from the gate, he ships in from Alburquerque where he's won two in a row going 5.5 furlongs. In a good barn (Priscilla Leon), and he's won on this surface before.
4th pick: #1 (Shanghai Voyage) (7-2) - In good shape at present, speed/stalker finished second last out at Fairplex on Sept. 19th, but was four lengths back of "Cuvee's Choice." The rail is a plus, and veteran must be left in the mix.
