Top pick: # (MODERN) (4-5) - Son of "Tiznow" ships in from So. California and this Darley Stable home-bred will be moving to the turf, stretching-out in distance, and makinging back-to-back starts, all for the first time. If he has any talent at all he'll beat this crew.

Top pick: # (Elite's Dream) (5-1) - Dangerous rival was sprinted here on Dec. 1 and raced evenly after breaking "in the air." Gelding is in a very good barn (Jonathan Nance) and he'll move him to the grass and race him around two-turns. Newly turned 3-year-olds showed some talent in a pair racing in the northwest last fall and looks like the main danger.

Top pick: # (Tale Spinner) (4-1) - He enters this off the same set-up as "Elite" as he'll move to the grass and stretch-out in distance off an even effort here in a dirt sprint Dec. 19. in a caple barn (Joe Toye) and gelding should improve with the changes.

Top pick: # (Mountain Minister) (8-1) - A bit on the cheap side, he's yet another switching to the turf and trying a longer distance. He's from a very good barn (Angel Silva) and can impact at a square price.
