Premium Pick

Top pick: #2 (IT'SABOUTJAZZ) (6-5) - The probable favorite, he's moving from turf to dirt, shortening up in distance, and dropping way down in class. From the barn of the training champ at this meet (Bob Diodoro), gelding meets a weak field and should get his maiden win.

2nd pick: #1 (Public Enemy) (4-1) - Probably best last out, he missed by a 'neck' at this level going a mile that afternoon. Lightly raced 3-year-old ran erratically in the last furlong or might certainly have won. Claimed that day by Deb O'Brien, she brings him back at the purchase price and shortens him up in distance.

3rd pick: #7 (Mining Fever) (5-1) - The field's most experienced maiden, he's finished second in three of his eight starts. The latest of those came here at this level March 17th. One-run type is in shape and draws a nice outside post at this 6.5-furlong distance.

4th pick: #6 (Supah Man) (8-1) - 'Nibbling' type is cutting back in distance after a fourth-place finish going a mile at this tag March 29th. He's worked since and runs with blinkers on.
