Texas at San Francisco

The Texas Rangers picked-up where they left off a year ago, getting off to a strong 15-4 start to the 2012 season. What has happened since isn't pretty as the Rangers have been a marginal team at best. Texas comes to San Francisco as a losing team at 18-21 in their last 39, but carries clout with the oddsmakers nevertheless. The Giants are now the hot team at 18-8 in their last 26, and have taken 9 of their last 11 at home. Barry Zito has been disappointing since coming to the Bay Area, but is having his best year at 5-2 with an ERA of 2.98. The Rangers are just 7-19 in their last 26 vs. the NL West and just 1-6 in their last seven as road chalk.
