Tampa Bay at Kansas City

Chris Archer just hasn't been able to get on track this year as he is 3-6 with a 4.62 ERA and has allowed 16 runs (13 earned) and 21 hits his last four starts covering 22 innings. The right-hander has a 2.03 ERA at home, but on the road, Archer is 2-3 with a whopping 7.36 ERA while giving up eight home runs and 40 hits in 29 1/3 innings. Archer also has not fared well against Kansas City as he has a 6.23 ERA in 13 innings versus the Royals the last three seasons, and all of those innings were in Kauffman Stadium. Danny Duffy had a rough start last time out but the Royals came back and won 7-5 over the White Sox. Kansas City has recovered from a slow start and is back in first place, having won five straight, including some miraculous comebacks.
