Result:
WIN

This is the third straight road game for a Tampa Bay squad that is scuffling, losing three of five. They were favored in two of those defeats, too, and come off a 4-3 win at Winnipeg last night, so this is their third game in five nights -- all on the road. The Lightning defense is not strong -- #19 in goals allowed, and #27 in penalty killing. Goalie Ben Bishop has allowed at least three goals in three of four outings. He's started every game this season and may get the call again Saturday with regular backup Andrei Vasilevskiy still sidelined by a blood clot. Or they may go with Kristers Gudlevskis, who was recalled from Syracuse of the American Hockey League after Friday's game, so Tampa Bay will have either a tired goalie or an untested kid in net. The Lightning are 16-37 on the road against a team with a home winning percentage of greater than .600, as well as 0-5 when playing on no days rest. The Blackhawks held Tampa Bay, the highest-scoring team in the league last season, to 10 goals in June to win the Stanley Cup. Tampa Bay faces Corey Crawford for the first time since his 25-save performance in Chicago's 2-0 game six victory, capping an outstanding series in which he compiled a 1.69 GAA and yielded two goals over the final three wins. Crawford is again playing well, allowing a total of three goals in winning his last two outings. The Blackhawks are 4-0-0 when scoring first this season after going 35-9-2 in 2014-15. Chicago is rested and 98-43 at home, while the Lightning are 4-10 at Chicago, so grab home ice with the champs. Take Chicago.
