South Dakota State at Mississippi

Ole Miss has had a good run over the last eight years, winning no fewer than 19 games, but can't seem to get over the top and have that banner season. They have opened at 4-1, and will take on the South Dakota Jack Rabbits at home tonight. Many will see a single-digit line here and grab the Rebels, but the jack Rabbits can play, and have won 18 games or more in eight straight seasons themselves, including a couple breakout seasons. This team is off to a 6-2 start and is well tested, having faced Kansas, and already has a big win over Iowa by eight points. Ole Miss has played well under the line, has been favored in all five games to start the season, but have struck out at 0-5 ATS. This game is a lot closer than it looks, so take the points on South Dakota State. Also take the UNDER. November games featuring a total in the 150s have gone UNDER at a 56.2% clip over the past twelve seasons. And, if we rule out games with a winless team, that jumps to 58%. This one seems like an obvious OVER play but we will go contrarian. Take the Jack Rabbits and the UNDER.
