South Alabama at Texas State

Two of the worst teams in the country square off in this one. At least South Alabama has covered the number in half its games while Texas State is 1-6-1 ATS and couldn't cover a 23-point spread in a 31-3 loss at UL Lafayette on Saturday. Texas State is #119 in total offense yards while scoring only 16.2 points and the Bobcats are #87 defensively, allowing 415.6 yards and 30.1 points. South Alabama won last year's meeting 41-31 as a 10-point favorite. Texas State quarterback Tyler Vitt went 24-of-34 for 206 yards, but threw two interceptions with no TD passes against the Ragin' Cajuns and the Bobcats rushed for only 58 yards on 2.6 yards per carry. The Jaguars have covered five of their last six conference games and five of their last seven versus teams with losing records. Texas State is 0-4-1 ATS its last five conference games and 1-4-1 ATS its last six home contests. The Bobcats should not be favored by this many points so play South Alabama.
