WIN

As I stated last week prior to the New Orleans game, the Seattle Seahawks are the best team in the NFL. They certainly proved that with a dismantling of a very good Saints squad. The 11-1 Seahawks now head to San Francisco - a team they exposed 29-3 early on. The Seahawks are playing extremely well on both sides of the football. Their offense is still somewhat under the radar as they have scored 31.2 points per game in their last 18 games going back to last season. Russell Wilson is having an MVP-caliber year but for some reason most people don't credit Seattle with having an elite offense. The 49ers have played well defensively, and although the offense has struggled at times, it appears to be coming around over the last few games to some extent. These teams have too many weapons on offense for this game to turn into a muscle-tussle, so I expect each team to take some shots with success down field to open things up. Many feel that Seattle is just a strong home team, but that is no longer true. The Seahawks are 5-1 on the road this season and since the arrival of Wilson, they are 10-6 ATS on the road. Yes, this team is better at home than on the road (as is the case with most teams), but to say they are not great on the road is a mis-statement. Seattle has saved their best overall vs. winning opponents where they are now 13-3 ATS in their last 16. Since Pete Carroll came to town, this team is 32-16 ATS vs. conference opponents and 23-13 ATS after a win. Seattle is also 23-9 to the OVER in their last 32 vs. a winning team and under Carroll, they are 11-3 OVER in December games and 18-6 OVER after allowing 14 or fewer points last game. This game should be more like a pick'em. Take Seattle and play the OVER.
