Jesse Chavez is 26-40 in his career with a 4.54 ERA and last year he faced the Mariners once and allowed five runs and six hits in just 2/3 of an inning. Chavez had a 5.51 ERA after the All-Star break, including 5.63 in September. Current Seattle hitters have a .352 batting average against him.
