Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #2 (IRISH FRONT) (8-5) - A lightly raced homebred by 'Summer Front,' he was a maiden winner here going six furlongs July 2. It was his first race since late-July of 2019, when he ran 4th in his debut, also coming at the Spa. The win was accomplished in fast time (1:09.60), and trainer Todd Pletcher has him taking the next logical step while adding a furlong in distance. He gets a slight edge.

2nd pick: #4 (Blindwillie McTell) (2-1) - 'Willie' enters this race after a pair of even efforts while going six furlongs at this level. A three-time stakes winner facing fellow state-breds, he enters off a good 3rd place finish here July 18 in his first start since Feb. 8. A 4yo homebred by 'Posse,' he's working above average and is dangerous.

3rd pick: #6 (Wild Medagliad'oro) (7-2) - This grey colt by 'Medaglia d'Oro' is cutting back in distance while switching from grass to dirt. Consistent sort has done well on the dirt sprinting in the past, is working above average, and John Velazquez is back on the re-ride.

4th pick: #7 (Famished) (8-1) - He rallied to finish 3rd here at this level and distance Aug. 1 in his first dirt sprint since breaking his maiden here at this trip a year ago. Stretch runner is a late threat, and a fast and/or contested pace would help his chances out.
