Premium Pick

Top pick: #2 (BULAGA) - Calder shipper was simply awesome when winning his debut there by 13 lengths on June 10. Brought back a month later and entered in the G2 Carry Back sprint he tired badly after being involved in a pace battle through fast splits. Working very fast since for trainer Dave Fawkes, gelding by "Orientate" has a huge bullet drill in Florida before shippin here and has another on the Oklahoma training track here July 30. has the rail, the best speed, and Dominguez is signed on. The top pick.

2nd pick: #4 (Buffum) - Lightly raced and talented son of "Bernardini" he won his debut last fall at Belmont and has faced graded stake foes in his three facing winners. He was a bit "hard to handle" earlier this year when finishing 4th in the Bay Shore(G3) at Aqueduct and has been on the sidelines for the past four months. Working fast and a major threat.

3rd pick: #6 (Washington's Rules) - Lightly raced grey gelding doesn't have any early speed but usually makes a late run. He finished 2nd on this surface last season when debuting to recent Jim Dandy (G2) winner Stay Thirsty.

4th pick: #1a (Nacho Saint) - He's enterd as part of a Kelly Breen trained entry and with jockey J.J.Castellano listed on both at the time this race was drawn, according to New York rules only one can run. He has some closing kick and a nice outside post to track from. If Bulaga tires abruptly turning for home this colt is a late danger.
