Top pick: #4 (SUCCESSFUL BROTHERS) (7-2) - Gelding enters off a career best figure when he finished second here at this distance when facing a bit tougher on a muddy surface just one week ago. It was his first ever in blinkers and trainer Gary Contessa brings him back quickly ad drops him down in price.

2nd pick: #2 (The Candidate) (3-1) - Lightly-raced and well bred, he's been freshened up since July 9th following an Ed Kenneally claim. Four-year-old by "Bernardini" was beaten a "nose" that afternoon going a mile at Belmont and has been competitive at this longer trip in the past.

3rd pick: #3 (Grandpa Len) (5-2) - He's returned from a 14 month layoff in late June in good shape and last out finished second here when facing tougher, going 7-furlongs July 31st. Trainer Dave Donk stretches him back out and this grey gelding likes this distance 5-1-2-1.

4th pick: #1 (Maximus Mike) (5-1) - Colt tired badly facing tougher going 11-furlongs on the turf here July 18th. It was his first in almost three months and trainer Bill Mott drops him way down in class and switches him from grass to dirt. Son of "Tiz Wonderful" broke his maiden at this distance in late April and expect him to be involved from start-to-finish.
