Top pick: #2 (REDEFINED) - Veteran takes a big drop this afternoon and will be racing 3rd back off a 7 1/2 month layoff. He's raced well in his return pair vs. much tougher and is nicely spotted this afternoon by trainer Tony Dutrow who is fresh off weekend victories in both the "Jim Dandy" and the "Curlin" stakes. The top selection.

2nd pick: #3 (Southern Exchange ) - In the barn of the "other" Dutrow (Rick) this colt drops just a bit and races third off a two-month freshening. One-run type needs to avoid traffic in order to make his late rally count. He loses Dominguez to the top pick.

3rd pick: #7 (Icetate) - Races off a long layoff (almost a year) but has been sharp off of shorter breaks in the past and he's in a barn (Mike Maker) that's off to a fast start at this meet. Probably better on the dirt, but his big early speed makes him very dangerous.

4th pick: #8 (Cires) - Races first off a claim by Bruce Levine (a 35% winning angle) and does so with blinkers added for this. Lightly-raced gelding had some serious traffic issues in his latest but had finished second in his previous pair at Belmont sprinting on the turf.
