Top pick: #7 (GOLDEN ARTEMIS) - The main speed returns from a six-week freshening and in a straight claimer for the first time. Working sharply and blinkers are added today. She'll be awfully tough catch in this spot.
2nd pick: #2 (Crema d'Oro) - Speedy filly tired on July 17 against tougher and will drop into a claimer this afternoon. That effort was her first in two months and she comes-back quickly for this (13 days). Looks set for a big try.
3rd pick: #10 (Collar) - Goes second off a Mike Maker claim and a subsequent two-month layoff. Barn is excellent off the break (25%), and had a fine meet at the recently concluded Belmont session.
4th pick: #9 (Pea Stone) - Runs today for Faustino Ramos off a July 1 claim and she finished second earlier this year in a mile race at Aqueduct in an "off the turf" affair. Maybe for a small slice.
