Top pick: #5 (MAGICAL MOON) (8-5) - Lightly raced daughter of "Malibu Moon" is two for two at this distance on the turf, and is the only filly entered who has won here in the past. Freshened up for the past two months, she's working fast, and has a flexible style. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #3 (Lignite) (7-2) - Very fast from the gate, she broke her maiden here racing on the dirt in late July of 2012, and did not run again until June 16th when she went wire-to-wire going five furlongs on the Arlington lawn facing weaker. Race was her first ever on the grass, and she's been working fast since that comebacker. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #4 (Funfair) (4-1) - Speed/stalker by "More Than Ready" is two for three on the turf, and won a small stakes a year ago sprinting on the Monmouth lawn. She tired last out at the same track in her first back from an 8 1/2 month layoff, and should be fitter for this assignment.
4th pick: #6 (Little Sandy) (10-1) - Lightly raced, well-bred, and still improving, filly by "Speightstown" moves to the grass for the first time seeking her third in a row. Can factor if she takes to the new footing.
