Top pick: #7 (TROPHEE) (3-1) - French import has been competitive in all three starts in Europe and in her best of those she was beaten a "neck" when facing both males and winners last October at Deauville. She's from a family of famous French horsemen and is now trained by Chris Clement (26% with first time Euro imports). Lasix is added by him (28%) and filly meets a weak field for the level.

nd pick: #6 (Forensic) (2-1) - She has the best races of those that have already raced in North America and was only beaten 1 1/4 lengths here at this level July 25th. Grey daughter of "Medaglia d'Oro" has finished close up in all four turf starts and is a strong win candidate.

rd pick: #3 (Coronette) (5-1) - Trainer Mike Matz is doing well at this meet (10-3-2-1) and he seems to do his best work with fillies and mares. He sends out this lightly-raced daughter of "Empire Maker" off almost a two month freshening and she was only a length back of "Forensic" that afternoon. Can factor during the stretch run.

th pick: #1 (Miss Lauren Ann) (20-1) - Huge longshot ships in from Presque Isle Downs where she finished a solid second there going 6-furlongs on the all weather surface. Four-year-old has the rail, early speed, and may grab a share at a big price.

th pick: #2 (See Ya Signe) (15-1) - She raced evenly here in a 5.5-furlong sprint on July 24th in her first since April 12th. Trainer Eric Guillot brings her back quickly and stretches her out in distance. Another that could get a minor award at long odds.
