Top pick: #7 (TELL GRANT) - Colt by "Dynaformer" put in a late rally to finish 4th facing special weights at Churchill July 1. 3yo had the rail that day and that's often pretty intimidating for a runner making his first start. Trainer Al Stall Jr. (20% 2nd time out) drops him into a claimer and has put a pair of local drills into him. The top pick.

nd pick: #6 (Allen's Star) - Colt was off "slowly" April 13 at Keeneland when debuting in a sprint facing special weights and did well to finish 6th of 12 while racing very wide. On the shelf for almost 4 months, trainer Ken McPeek drops him into a claimer, stretches him out in distance, and switches him to the grass. Contends this afternoon.

rd pick: #4 (Knockout) - Has the best proven speed, a good post to use it from, drops down a bit, and he's in the Pletcher barn. No knocks from me.

th pick: #8 (Perfection Plus) - Colt cost $260,000 and after a very troubled debut here two weeks ago trainer Dave Fawkes drop him in for $25K, and moves him to the grass. Dominguez is aloft and this colt was bred to go long on the infield.

th pick: #3 (Lincoln Penny) - He took some money in his debut but had a poor start and tired after rusing up into the pace. Trainer George Weaver(who's off to a fast start here) drops him in half and stretches him out in distance today. Look for a much improved run.
