Top pick: #1 (ALPHA) - Highly thought of by his connections since he was a smashing winner of his debut here Sept. 3, he's won a pair of stakes since then and was beaten by a neck April 7th at Aqueduct in the Wood Memorial (G1) at this 9-furlong trip. He had a very poor start in the Kentucky Derby (G1) and will be racing today for the first time since that May 5th effort. Working very fast for his return and he's reunited with Dominguez this afternoon.
2nd pick: #6 (Teeth of the Dog) - "Gritty" type has improved since he finished 3 lengths back of "Alpha" earlier this year in the Wood Memorial. Colt has won two in a row at Belmont heading into this and has enough positional speed to be in this through-out.
3rd pick: #8 (Prospective) - Son of "Malibu Moon" has won 6-of-11 overall and comes into this off back to back stakes wins at Woodbine and Thistledown, where he won the Ge Ohi Derby on July 7th. In form, the distance isn't a problem, and expect him to be competitive.
