(# 10) GRAND YULE - Big debut effort at Fairplex in a four-furlong sprint. Bet down to 6-5 he broke well, set a fast pace and just failed to last. Two nice works over this surface indicate that he can handle it. Trainer Brian Koriner is at 37% with second time runners.

(# 12) Barney - He also debuted at Fairplex but at a distance of six furlongs from a bad post on that "bull ring." Finished fourth after bidding while wide. Resides in the very good Mike Mitchell barn.

(# 13) Fallbrook - Goes third off a layoff for trainer Pat Gallagher. Good effort in debut against better, then had a poor start in race number two. Still ran on well in that one.

(# 1) Wild Beginnings - He's almost six now without a win. Has the rail and is in shape. He may hang around on the rail and sneak into the super and/or tri.
