2nd pick: #12 (Melatonin) (3-1) - The probable favorite, he's been competitive in all three starts racing on synthetic surfaces and is training fast locally for this attempt. Draws a nice outside post and is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #2 (Home Run Kitten) (5-1) - Colt had a useful debut when he rallied to finish third going 6-furlongs on the Hollywood turf on Dec. 15. Bred for the grass ("Kitten's Joy") and he a stretch threat in his second appearance.
4th pick: #10 (Distillery) (12-1) - Longshot hasn't raced since late October when he was away slowly and checked in 8th of 11, beaten almost 6 lengths racing here at this level and distance. Working fast since and a factor at a big price.
5th pick: #4 (Arctic Code) (8-1) - He out-ran his odds 26-1 when finishing second when debuting on the Hollywood lawn on Dec. 15. Must be left in the mix.
