Top pick: #3 (SKIPSHOT) - He had some promise earlier in his career when he won the (G2) Swaps at Hollywood Park in July of 2010, but following a fourth-place finish next out in the West Virginia Derby (G2), he did not race again for 13 1/2 months. Racing himself back into shape, he ships back from Golden Gate where he won a non-conditioned allowance on March 1st in his best effort since returning to action. Has a sharp work on the March 16th and he gets the call in a very tough contest.
2nd pick: #2 (Graeme Crackerjack) - Longshot enters this in career best shape and is the type that can "run all day". He's been sharp in four straight on this surface facing weaker and is a late threat at a big price.
3rd pick: #7 (Coluda) - Speedy gelding had no problem going wire to wire facing weaker on March 2nd and trainer Mike Mitchell will move him way up for today's attempt. One of two entered by Mitchell and the pair will race uncoupled. 5-year-old by "Pure Prize" will take them as far as he can.
