Top pick: #3 (ST.TRINIANS) - English import has done nothing wrong since coming to these shores as she's now three for three, with the latest coming in a small stakes here on Jan. 9. Speed/stalker continues to train sharply at her home-base of Hollywood Park and although this is a big step up I believe she can win this.
2nd pick: #8 (Life Is Sweet) - Probable heavy favorite won the biggest race of her career last November on this surface when she was victorious in the "Breeder's Cup Ladies Classic"(G1). In so doing she ran her local record to (5-4-0-0) and is training sharply for this attempt. Stretch runner is a threat to win it all.
3rd pick: #5 (Zardana) - Lightly raced Brazilian import "upset" the Grade 2 "Bayakoa" stakes at Hollywood Park in early December in winning her first of three starts on a synthetic surface. Mare has good tactical speed and can contend today at generous odds.
