Premium Pick

Top pick: #1 (MASTERCRAFTSMAN) - He's won four Group One races, a great accomplishment for any runner and this sophomore colt by the top stallion "Danehill Dancer" was smartly prepped for this by trainer Aidan O'Brien by winning a small stakes on the "poly" course at Dundalk in Ireland. Has more positional speed than most Europeans and he looks to be very tough to beat if he handles the all weather surface.

2nd pick: #3 (Midshipman) - The main speed in a race that doesn't have a lot of pace on paper. Very lightly raced, he only has one race (a win at Belmont on Sept.18) since taking the "Breeder's Cup Juvenile" on this course just over a year ago. He' been pointed to this by the Godolphin for some time and he could prove very tough to catch.

3rd pick: #4 (Bullsbay) - He ran well on this surface early in his career (3-1-2-0) and has consistently run well in big races while never getting much credit. Has very good overall numbers (19-7-5-2) and has been carefully prepared for this by a top trainer (Graham Motion). Contender.

4th pick: #7 (Pyro) - Talented runner is another from the Godolphin contingent and finished mid-pack in this race in 2008 after breaking slowly. At his peak right now after a pair of sharp races at Saratoga, he's been training in fine fashion on this surface.
