Top pick: #2 (SAINT LOUP) (7-5) - French import is the type that can "run all day" and he should love this 1 1/2 mile distance that all but one are trying for the first time. Group 2 and 3 placed in his native country, he rallied to finish second here at this level going 10 furlongs on Feb. 21. He's worked very fast since and is the horse to beat.

2nd pick: #7 (Lime Rickey) (3-1) - The only horse that has run at this 12 furlong distance and he won at it racing at Lone Star Park on July 6th. He was away "slowly" and rallied to finish fourth here going 9 panels on March 3rd in his first since Sept. 1. Dangerous rival.

3rd pick: #1 (Toruk Makto) (4-1) - "Long winded" type rallied to finish third in the same Feb. 21 contest as "Loup," but was two back at the finish with no apparent excuse. He would appear the type that will like this difficult distance.

4th pick: #8 (Unusual Beam) (12-1) - His best "figures" are below the top three picks, but he almost always puts in a late run that has yielded him many minor awards to go along with his one win. Can round out the tri and/or super at long odds.
