Top pick: #9 (ARCODORO) (8-1) - He's one of two entered by trainer Jack Carava and believe he has the better shot at winning this. Speed/stalker tired very late after setting a quick pace here at this tag and distance on Jan. 20 and catches a field with only one other front-end type (No. 5 "Twin Six"). I like his chances and he should be a nice price.
2nd pick: #3 (Atticus Jack) (3-1) - He had a "troubled" trip here at this level going "down the hill" on Feb. 2 in what was his first since Oct. 7. Trainer Ted West stretches him out and gelding is 2-for-5 at this distance. Barn has him set up nicely and he's a win candidate.
3rd pick: #4 (Gold Medallion) (8-1) - He tired last out after pressing the pace in a small stakes here at this trip, but in his previous attempt he finished second of 12, beaten a 1/2 length racing at this level and distance. Veteran has more speed than most and must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #2 (Mr. Candy Bar) (8-1) - Longshot is the second of the Carava runners and will be dropping a bit and stretching back out to a mile. Has back class and it's nice to see Nakatani back on the re-ride of this price play.
